Marinated Grilled Steak

Marinated Grilled Steak

This marinated grilled steak recipe is perfect for a healthy summer meal. The steaks are infused with a flavorful blend of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, fresh herbs, and garlic, then grilled to perfection.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 (8 oz.) Beef Steaks (Sirloin, Flat Iron, or Hanger steak works well)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:

1. Prepare the Marinade:
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, chopped thyme, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
2. Marinate the Steaks:
  • Place the steaks in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish.
  • Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they're well-coated.
  • Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
3. Grill the Steaks:
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Remove the steaks from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off.
  • Grill the steaks for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or longer if desired. Use a meat thermometer to ensure your steaks reach your preferred doneness (130°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium).
4. Rest and Serve:
  • Remove the steaks from the grill and let rest for about 5 minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
  • Slice the steaks against the grain and serve with a side of grilled vegetables or a fresh salad.
