Beef (Wagyu-Angus) Tongue, aka “lengua”, is popular in several National cuisines, such as the dish “tacos de lengua” in Mexico (beef tongue tacos). While not many are accustomed to eating beef tongue, this nutritious organ meat is one of the most tender and juicy cuts that exists! After a few hours in the slow cooker, beef tongue shreds easily into tasty pulled meat (great for tacos!), or slices into rounds that can be seared and crisped up in butter or tallow on the stove. Next time you get adventurous in the kitchen or want to add more nutrients to your plate, try our 100% grass-fed beef tongue.
Note: limited supply since only one tongue from every animal.
100% grass-fed and finished beef raised as nature intended on our partner farm: MSU Extension Research Center; a Savory Institute Holistic Learning Hub.
Wagyu is a Japanese cattle breed whose genetic lineage goes back thousands of years, while the importation of Wagyu into the US only recently began. Wagyu beef is famous for its copious marbling, leading to unparalleled buttery tenderness. The fat marbling in Wagyu beef has the highest percentage of any mono-unsaturated fat out of any protein that you can find in the US.
